Let me first say that this trip was by far one of the greatest experiences of my life. I really enjoyed working with each and everyone of my attendees, and I hope that they valued their time in Chattanooga.
Studying Public Relations at Austin Peay State University allowed me to see the diversity of my group. We had some very strong personalities in the group as well as those who just wanted to go along with the flow. I really valued everyone, and I hope I was able to facilitate the group as a whole to where they had the best service-learning experience possible.
I had fun teaming up with The Chattanooga Food Bank and Hart Gallery. Hearing their stories, and contributing to their mission was meaningful to the trip. Even at times where I felt confronted with issues back home and on the trip, I focused primarily on the purpose of our stay and was comforted.
Overall, if I had the chance to do it all again, I would say yes in an instant. I am truly thankful for this opportunity, and glad to have been a part of all stages of the trip.
