Kathy Le – Spring 2016 Post Reflection (Washington DC)

Volunteering at the D.C. Central Kitchen has been a wonderful experience. What helped me most while I was volunteering was participating in many volunteer opportunities offered at APSU through organizations and the university itself. My previous experiences have taught me to keep an open mind and a positive attitude even when you are having trouble doing something. Squash ain’t no joke.

Personally, I have learned that in everything you do, it is best to keep a smile and a positive mindset. The staff at the DCCK were always so happy and cheerful that it left me with such a great impression of the volunteer experience. I hope one day that my attitude toward volunteering  will have a great impact on someone else.
