Tyler Hagemann – Spring 2016 Pre Reflection (Nashville)

Hello, my name is Tyler Hagemann. I’m currently a freshman at APSU pursuing a major in mathematics and a minor in professional education. I am pursuing the math education field as numbers and number applications have always fascinated me throughout school and teaching is the best way to continually work with numbers while making an impact on the community. My academic goals will be benefiting the community by shaping the future of our nation where it matters most- in the public school systems. Teachers are the mentors that children look up to second to their parents. By having caring, dedicated educators, strong young adults can rise to benefit the future. I have worked with a wide-range of people in the past from different backgrounds and cultures. Applying diversity and appreciation of diversity will help to breakdown barriers between others and help to create a unified environment.
