Jessica Boettner – Summer Pre Reflection 2015 (Guatemala)

Hello, I am a freshman physics major at APSU. I am in the President’s Emerging Leaders Program, the Honors Program, the Del Square Si physics club, and the Yearbook. Also, I tutor in mathematics and have begun undergraduate research this semester. Volunteering is a hobby of mine. The alternate break trip to Guatemala will further my volunteer efforts.

After I receive my bachelor’s degree at APSU, I will attend a graduates school to obtain my masters in a more specific area of physics, such as astrophysics or nuclear physics. I desire to be a renowned scientist who leads research teams on innovative projects. My goal is to make a difference in the scientific world and to help the less fortunate. In my spare time, I enjoy hip hop class, books, and movies. I am at the beginning of my journey and hope to one day match the others on this trip in merit.

Additionally, I am super excited for this trip!
